Customise these cute frozen yogurt heart shapes with your favourite yogurt flavours and Valentine's themed sprinkles for a fun and easy Valentine's Day snack for kids!
I have another cute and easy Valentine's themed food idea for you today: frozen yogurt hearts! These fun little treats have just 2 simple ingredients and make a great Valentine's Day snack or dessert for kids.
You could make them yourself to serve up as a fun surprise or get the kids involved in making their own - even the smallest little chefs could have a go at making these!
Frozen Yogurt Hearts
Ingredients:
- 200g raspberry or strawberry yogurt
- pink sprinkles
- red sprinkles
- heart shapes silicone mould
Method:
Drop small spoonfuls of yogurt into each section of a heart shaped silicone mould. Smooth over the tops, then tap the mould gently on the table to bring any air bubbles to the top.
Using a piece of damp kitchen paper, clean away any excess yogurt from the edges of the mould.
Scatter pink and red sprinkles over the top of each yogurt heart.
Place the mould in the freezer for a couple of hours until the shapes are frozen solid, then pop them out onto a plate or bowl to serve.
If you find that the yogurt is too hard to eat straight from the freezer, leave on the plate at room temperature for a few minutes to soften before serving.
Note: You can cover any spare shapes left in the mould with clingfilm to keep them fresh and pop the mould back into the freezer until you need them.
