These fun cheese puff pastry crowns are perfect for royal or princess themed party food and they make a great quick and easy recipe for a Coronation street party too!
The King's Coronation is coming up soon and I've been busy in the kitchen creating some fun and easy recipes to celebrate! Today I'm sharing these super easy cheesy puff pastry crowns.
These fun savoury pastries would be perfect for princess party food, a posh afternoon tea with the kids or a Coronation street party! They're really quick and easy to make with just 3 ingredients!
Cheese Puff Pastry Crowns
Ingredients (makes approx. 18 cheese crowns)
- 375g ready-made puff pastry sheet
- 1 egg
- 50g cheddar cheese
Method:
Preheat oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/390°F). Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
Unroll the puff pastry sheet and use a crown shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many crown shapes as you can.
Place the pastry crowns on the baking sheets, leaving space between them to allow for spreading.
Break the egg into a small bowl and lightly whisk. Brush the pastry crowns with the egg.
Finely grate the cheddar cheese. Scatter the grated cheese over each pastry crown.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the crowns are puffed up and the cheese is golden.
Serve your cheese crowns warm, or cool them on a baking rack.
Once completely cold, store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
