These cute Pumpkin Peanut Butter balls made with SKIPPY® Peanut Butter make a great no-bake treat for celebrating Halloween with kids!
Sponsored Post
I created these cute Halloween Pumpkin Peanut Butter Balls as a part of a challenge from SKIPPY® Peanut Butter. I got a bit carried away when recipe testing though and came up with three different versions of my spooky Halloween treat, but I couldn't choose which was my favourite so I decided to share all three with you!
As well as these fun pumpkin themed treats, I'm also sharing recipes for Peanut Butter Mummies and Peanut Butter Monsters here on the blog today.
These fun little Halloween treats are super easy to make, with no baking required, so they're great for making with the kids this Halloween. They're made with American-style SKIPPY® Peanut Butter which gives them an extra smooth and creamy texture.
We used orange gel food colouring to create our gorgeous orange pumpkins, but you can skip the colouring if you want to leave them plain - natural coloured pumpkins would also look cute!
To see just how easy these yummy peanut butter balls are to make, check out my recipe video above (or click here if the video doesn't load for any reason). You'll also find the full recipe for the Pumpkin Peanut Butter Balls below, and the other two versions here: Peanut Butter Mummies and Peanut Butter Monsters.
Pumpkin Peanut Butter Balls
Ingredients (makes 15):
- 60g butter
- 175g SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth
- orange gel food colouring
- 275g icing sugar
- 4 whole pecan nuts
Method:
First heat the butter until just melted. You can do this in a small saucepan on the hob or in the microwave.
Measure the SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth into a large bowl, then pour over the melted butter.
Whisk the two ingredients together until smooth and full combined. Add orange gel food colouring and whisk again until the mixture is evenly coloured.
Add the icing sugar and whisk again until it is completely mixed in. Your mixture should resemble breadcrumbs at this point, so pull it together with clean hands to form a dough.
Line a small baking tray or plate with greaseproof or baking paper.
Break off pieces of the dough and roll into walnut-sized balls. Place them on the lined tray.
Cut each pecan nut in half lengthways, along the central ridge. Cut each piece in half again - these will be your pumpkin 'stalks'.
Push a piece of pecan into the top of each peanut butter ball for the stalk. Use the back of a knife to press lines into the sides of each ball so that they resemble pumpkins.
Chill the peanut butter pumpkins in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is now widely available in the UK and a great source of protein for growing kids! SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is available in both Extra Smooth and Extra Crunchy, both totally delicious!
