Last week I shared two new bagel recipes commissioned by New York Bakery Co to celebrate the launch of their new Cheese Bagels. The first recipe was for my super easy breakfast bagel quiche, the second for easy cheesy bagel nachos and today I have a third delicious bagel recipe to share with you, this time a festive recipe - Turkey Cranberry Cheese Bagel Melts.

This recipe turned out every bit as delicious as I has hoped - the tasty turkey, oozy mozarella cheese and sweet cranberry work perfectly with the gorgeous cheese bagels. It's the perfect recipe if you are catering for a crowd - you can bake just one bagel or as many as will fit on your oven trays, it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser! This recipe is great for using up your turkey leftovers too, so make sure you get in some cheese bagels for the perfect boxing day lunch.
If you want to add an extra fun festive twist to your presentation when serving these up, follow the instructions below to turn your bagels into red-nosed reindeers in 3 easy steps!
Turkey Cranberry Cheese Bagel Melts
Ingredients:
- 5 or 6 New York Bakery Co Cheese Bagels
- ½ jar cranberry sauce
- 200g sliced roast turkey breast
- 2 x balls of mozzarella
To decorate (optional):
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- 12 extra large pretzels
- 6 black olives
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
Split the bagels and place the bottom halves, cut side up, on a baking tray or sheet.
Spread a thin layer of cranberry sauce over each bagel.
Lay slices of turkey on top, then slice up the mozarella cheese balls and split the slices between all of the bagels.
Finish with a dollop of cranberry sauce on each bagel, then pop the tops back on.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the mozzarella is completely melted.
Leave to cool for a few minutes then serve warm.
If you'd like to add a bit of extra festive fun to your bagels - why not turn them into reindeer! Simply add a cherry tomato nose, sliced black olive eyes and some extra large pretzels for antlers!
