There's always great excitement in my house when new products for the Eats Amazing Shop arrive, and my boys are always eager to help me test them! I made this fun cow themed lunch with the new FARM sandwich cutter set from Lunch Punch, along with some of the new STIX plastic food skewers and served on our gorgeous new bamboo divided plate, which my 4 year old has claimed for himself to use for all future lunches at home!
Both the lunch and the new products got a big thumbs up from my mini tester, and after he had eaten every last crumb, he spent the rest of the afternoon happily playing in the empty boxes the new stock came in!
In this lunch was a cheese sandwich in seeded bread, cut into a cow shape using the Cow and Calf cutter from the new FARM Lunch Punch sandwich cutter set. I finished the cow and calf off with edible candy eyes. On the side were some cucumber slices topped with a cow cupcake pick, a pack of Organix raisins, sliced cherry tomatoes decorated with a cow cupcake ring and some blueberries and red grapes, threaded onto our new STIX plastic food skewers.
The divided plate I used for this lunch is from the Bobo & Boo range and is made from bamboo, an eco-friendly alternative to plastic. It's a great size for toddlers & preschoolers and is divided into 5 separate compartments to keep different foods separate and help with portion control. As well as the lovely dolphin blue plate shown here, it's also available in flamingo pink!
As well as the cute Cow cutter I used to make this lunch, the new FARM sandwich cutter set from Lunch Punch also includes a Tractor cutter. I've already been asked for a Tractor lunch to match this one, it's next on my to-do list!
The new STIX plastic food skewers come in a rainbow of colours and are already proving popular since they arrived in the Eats Amazing Shop a few weeks ago! I'll be sharing lots of fun food ideas for using them here on the blog over the next few months, but you may have already spotted them in my yummy Turkey & Apple Burgers and in my fun Halloween Mummy Sandwich skewers.
