This cute and easy Valentines Day themed lunch is a fun way celebrate Valentines Day with kids! Make it for a fun love-filled lunch time surprise or challenge the kids to have a go at making this cute lunch themselves!
Yesterday I shared a step by step tutorial for some cute and easy Love Bug sandwiches, and today I'm sharing all the details of the fun Valentine's Day themed lunch that I served with the sandwiches.
Making fun food for (or with) your kids is a really fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day together. The simple ideas that make up this lunch would all work individually too, if you just want to add a little extra love to packed lunches, snacks or meals at home.

Fun Valentine's Day Lunch
This lunch was served up on one of our gorgeous bamboo divided plates, which are available now in the Eats Amazing Shop. As well as the flamingo pink plate shown in this post, there's also a beautiful dolphin blue version.
Tomato Hearts
Wash and gently dry two or three baby plum tomatoes.
With a sharp knife, cut a tomato in half on the diagonal. Flip one half of the tomato over and push the two cut edges together to form a heart.
Use a cocktail stick or bento pick to pin the two halves together. Repeat with the other tomatoes.
Heart Carrot Coins
Wash and peel a large carrot. Slice into thick disk shaped pieces.
Using a heart shaped mini bento cutter, cut hearts from the centre of each carrot disk. You can serve up the little hearts from the centre of the carrot with the lunch too, to minimise waste.
Raspberries
Beautiful pink raspberries are perfect for Valentine's Day. Serve up with a cute mini heart bento fork for extra love!
Frozen Yogurt Hearts
The frozen yogurt hearts need to be prepared in advance - check out the recipe here: Frozen Yogurt Hearts Recipe.
Love Bug Sandwich
I've written up a separate tutorial for the Love Bug sandwich, with step by step photos. You can find it here: Love Bug Sandwiches Tutorial.
