Today I'm sharing a quick and easy recipe for fruity frozen yogurt pops. I have been very busy this week developing recipes and photographing them to share with you, so I've got lots of fresh new recipes and ideas coming your way very soon!
I'm kicking off with this super simple healthy snack idea that I put together yesterday ready for Small Child to enjoy after school today (although as I write the sun appears to have gone in so I hope he'll still enjoy them despite the lack of sunshine!).
These are so simple and so healthy that they could be served up on any occasion, from breakfast to dessert!
They're also easily customisable - don't like natural yoghurt? Feel free to use any flavour you like, and you could also replace the raspberries with several other fruits - blueberries or strawberries would work well.
These frozen yoghurt pops use a cake pop mould, so if you've got one lying around that you never get around to using, or you're thinking of buying one then here's a fresh new use for it!
Fruity Frozen Yoghurt Pops
Ingredients
- Large tub natural yoghurt
- Handful of fresh raspberries
Equipment
- Cake pop mould
- Cake pop sticks
- squeezy bottle
Method
Using a teaspoon, place a small amount of yoghurt into each compartment in the bottom half of your cake pop mould, being careful not to overfill it. Pop a raspberry on top of each one, hollow side up.
Put the lid on your mould, making sure it is firmly closed and sealed correctly. Spoon yoghurt into the squeezy bottle, completely filling it.
Use the bottle to fill up each pop compartment with yoghurt, refilling the bottle as you run out of yoghurt. Don't worry if any of the yoghurt escapes into the rest of the mould - you can easily brush it off once they are frozen. I found it quite a messy business, but that's all part of the fun!
Once the pops are all filled, pop a cake pop stick into the top of each one, pushing it down firmly so that it goes all the way through. Freeze for 2-3 hours or until frozen through and ready to eat.
I thought ours came out beautifully, I can't wait to see Small Child enjoy his later today!
