I roasted these potatoes in my new air fryer which I'm also reviewing here on the blog today. You can find out more about the air fryer that I chose and what I thought of it here: NINJA Foodie Max Dual Zone Air Fryer Review.
I used very mild spices to keep this recipe child friendly as well as tasty, but you could also add some chilli powder to give them a bit of a kick for a spicier grown-up version!
This easy paprika roasted potatoes recipe can be cooked in an air fryer for a quick and easy side dish, but if you don't have an air fryer, I've also included instructions for roasting them in a standard oven too.
Paprika Roasted New Potatoes
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 1kg new potatoes
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp garlic puree
- 1 ½ Tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp salt
Method:
Wash the potatoes, pat dry, then cut into quarters.
Pop the olive oil and garlic puree into a large bowl and mix together until combined. Add the potatoes to the bowl and mix well to coat in the oil and garlic mixture.
Sprinkle over the paprika, cumin and salt then mix well again until the potatoes are evenly coated in the spices.
Pour the potatoes into the air fryer basket or drawer.
Air Fry on the roast setting at 190°C for 25 minutes. If your air-fryer doesn't have a revolving paddle, make sure you give the basket a shake every now and again to ensure that the potatoes cook evenly.
Check the potatoes are cooked through - if they're still a little hard, then cook for a further 5 minutes.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Note: If cooking in the oven, preheat your oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/390°F). Follow the instructions above up to the cooking step. Pour the coated potatoes into a large roasting tin then roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, taking them out and shaking every 10 minutes to help the potatoes cook evenly.
