This quick and easy cheese Christmas trees recipe makes great healthy Christmas party food and a fun appetiser or snack for kids over the festive season!
This fun Christmas appetiser recipe couldn't be easier, and with just 3 easy to find ingredients, it makes a great last minute addition to your Christmas table!
I used cheddar cheese and red Leicester cheese to make my cheese Christmas trees, but you can use any hard cheese of your choice. The yellow pepper stars could also be replaced with carrot or cucumber - just adapt the recipe to suit your festive party food needs!
Easy Cheese Christmas Trees
Ingredients:
- Small block cheddar cheese
- small block red Leicester cheese
- pretzel sticks
- ½ yellow pepper
Method:
Cut a thick slice (around 1.5cm-2cm thick) from each block of cheese and cut into triangles.
Break a pretzel stick into 3 pieces and push each one into the base of a cheese triangle. Repeat until you have as many cheese trees as you need.
Cut small stars from the yellow pepper using a star shaped mini bento cutter, and add one to the top of each cheese tree.
Carefully place the cheese Christmas trees on a platter or plate to serve.

Hi Ellen, thank you! Leicester cheese is a British hard cheese - very similar to a mild cheddar but it is orange instead of yellow. Hope that helps!
