Good morning, and welcome to another Fun Food Friday! Thank you if you joined me last week, there were some great posts linked up! If you’ve been making any fun food recently, whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve blogged, please do join in the link up below and share the inspiration around! I do my best to comment on and tweet every post that’s linked up, and I pin them all to my special Fun Food Friday Pinterest board too.
Today's fun food from me is a very simple lunch that I made for Small Child to take to a picnic a few weeks ago. It features his homemade cheese & poppy seed biscuits (see the child-friendly recipe here), and was packed in a new lunchbox that I bought to try out recently. The lunchbox is made by Addis, and comes with three removable inner compartments; one larger one and two small. It has a clip-on lid, and is unusually shallow for that type of box, which makes it perfect for bento style lunches (less room for everything to move around!). I'm very impressed with it, particularly as it was very reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend it as a good box to start with if you're thinking of trying bento style lunches but don't want to spend a fortune. I bought it from Amazon UK on the recommendation of a fellow blogger (thanks Petit Mom!).
In this lunch Small Child had star shaped cheese and poppy seed biscuits, some mini sausages in a star shaped silicone cup, raw carrot disks, with stars cut from them using a mini bento cutter, raw red pepper sticks and red and green grapes, sprinkled with the mini carrot stars (the leftover cut-outs).
I kept this lunch very simple as I knew a lot of Small Child's friends would be around, distracting him from eating, so I wanted him to be able to grab bits and pieces as he was going along. It worked nicely, and we all had a really lovely afternoon!
Now it’s your turn, what fun food have you been making recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. You can also link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own.

I would love to know where to purchase the lunchbox you were using, or the name of it so I can find it. (I can't purchase anything from your store since I'm from the US 🙁 )

HI Mae, the lunchbox is by Addis, but I don't know if it's available in the US. Cristi has posted a link to something similar below, hopefully that helps!

I think the closest thing we have in the US to this box might be the Lock&Lock Rectangular Food Container with Divider

Thanks Cristi, that's great!

Aw glad you like it as much as we do! Such a great price too and my 4 year old son can easily open it as well.

It's an excellent box, I'm really pleased I bought it! Sometimes it's the simple things that work the best!
