In honour of World Book Day this week, I made book themed lunches for my boys to match their costumes. For my oldest I made this fun Harry Potter lunch, and I'm happy to say he loved it!
It may look complicated, but this lunch is actually pretty easy to put together. From the fun edible book to the cheese owl and golden snitch orange, it's sure to be a hit with any Harry Potter fan, big or small!
Be sure to check out my tutorial video so you can see just how easy everything in this lunch is make!
In this lunch I packed an edible book shaped sandwich, on wholemeal bread with ham and cheese inside. As my son was dressed in his Gryffindor quidditch robes for the day, I recreated the cover of his 'Quidditch through the ages' book to decorate it.
On the side he had strips of red and yellow pepper to represent the Gryffindor house colours, a Babybel cheese owl, a golden snitch orange and a little treat of some 'every flavour beans' and a couple of golden dragon (chocolate) eggs.
As I’ve already shared several of these fun food ideas individually here on the blog, I’ve linked to the tutorial for each one below. Just click on the title or the photo to be taken to each tutorial, where you’ll find the full written instructions and some extra video tutorials too.
