Hélène has two adorable twin boys and today she's sharing one of the yummy French-style packed lunch boxes she makes for them.
Bonjour! This is Hélène from Croque-Maman. I am over the moon to be guest posting for Grace today. I just love her blog, her videos and her products!
Since last year, my twin boys are in a school with no canteen, which means lunchboxes everyday (phew!) so I am always looking for new ideas to surprise them.
As a way to introduce my website, Croque-Maman, which is all about French family cooking, I thought I would share with you today the ultimate French children’s lunchbox!
- A “jambon-beurre”, quintessentially French… a piece of baguette sliced lengthways spread with butter and filled with ham… you can’t beat simple food prepared with quality ingredients!
- Cornichons, fine gherkins for a little taste buds kick
- Diced Comté cheese, with sliced green grapes and raisins – If you do not know Comté yet you need to give it a try, it is mild fruity, you will love it! Paired with grapes it is a winning match
- Cucumber sticks: my boys’ favourite lunchbox vegetable at the moment! And little sliced tomatoes for colour.
For more inspiration I often ask my boys what they fancy in their lunchboxes and what their friends are eating.
Besides I get them to help me when I make their lunchboxes every now and then… last week they tried to sneak in sweeties 😉
