These quick and easy mini naan bread pizza bites take just 5 minutes to cook - great for using up leftovers for a fun lunch!
Today I have a really quick and easy pizza recipe for you that is perfect for lunch boxes, party food or a fun after school snack! These cute little naan bread pizza bites are really easy to make and they're great for using up leftover naan bread too.
As Valentines Day is fast approaching, we cut our pizza bites into heart shapes, but you could use any shape you want - from circles to stars to plain triangles, you could make pizza bites to suit any theme or holiday!
I've been making variations on these naan pizza bites since my boys were toddlers - their small size makes them great for little hands and baby led weaning. Big kids love them too - I made sure to 'taste test' several of the last batch I made myself!
Heart Shaped Mini Naan Bread Pizzas
Ingredients (makes 9 mini pizzas):
- 1 large plain naan bread
- 1 Tbsp tomato puree
- handful grated cheese (I used a mix of cheddar & mozzarella)
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
Using a small heart shaped cookie cutter, cut as many heart shaped pizza bases as you can get from the naan bread.
Spread a thin layer of tomato puree over each naan heart, then place them all on a baking tray.
Sprinkle over the grated cheese (you could also add other toppings if wanted) then bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Leave to cool for a few minutes before serving warm, or cool completely and pack in a lunch box.
Enjoy!
