These 3 easy no-cook savoury skewer ideas are perfect for picnics, parties and fun snacks at home!
No matter how old you are, everything tastes better on a stick, right?! I've shared several different fruit skewer ideas here on the blog, like my rainbow fruit kebabs, and summer berry skewers, but today it's time for a few savoury skewer ideas.
These recipes are all no-cook, so really quick and easy to put together. They're perfect for picnics, party food and fun lunches or snacks at home. You can try whatever different combinations of vegetables, cheeses, meats and fruits you like, but to get you started I'm sharing 3 different combinations below.
I used these cute Stix plastic skewers to make these savoury kebabs but you could also use food-safe bamboo skewers instead.
Savoury Skewers Recipe 1
Thread feta cubes, halved red grapes and cherry tomato halves onto skewers, alternating between the different ingredients. If serving to younger children, cut the grapes and tomatoes lengthwise to avoid choking.
Savoury Skewers Recipe 2
Thread rolled pieces of ham, chopped apple, cubes of cheddar cheese and mini pickled onions onto skewers, alternating between the different ingredients.
Savoury Skewers Recipe 3
Thread pieces of ready cooked roast chicken, cucumber slices and cherry tomato halves onto skewers, alternating between the different ingredients. If serving to younger children, cut the tomatoes lengthwise to avoid choking.
