Following on from the first of our alphabet themed lunches yesterday, today’s food alphabet bento lunch was inspired by the letter B. Small Child was really excited about this lunch because he wanted me to include a ‘Beaver’ (he recently joined a Beaver Scout colony and he absolutely loves every minute of it) so that had to take pride of place!
In this lunch Small Child had a wholewheat pitta bread, cut out with the CuteZcute Animal Friends cutter, then decorated with an edible marker pen to look like a Beaver, roast Beef, rolled up and skewered on Bone food picks, slices of cucumber, filled with carrot Bs, and decorated with Bee food picks and a B alphabet food pick, and Banana chips, topped with a couple of grape Balloons. I finished the lunch off with a Ball themed mini Babybel cheese and tucked some more grapes around the pitta beavers. I packed the lunch in our Blue Laptop Lunches box, and also used various Blue silicone cups to hold some of the food.
Small Child was especially pleased with the Beaver in his lunch, and he thought that the Bones picks were really fun too! Can you suggest any foods or objects beginning with B that I didn't think of?
