Welcome to Fun Food Friday! Have you been making any fun food recently?  Whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve blogged, please link up below and share the inspiration around.  Anything goes, as long as it’s edible!

Today’s fun food from me is a very simple lunch from my archives, and a great example of how you can use supplies you probably already have lying around the house to get creative with your food.  The eyes I used on the roll came from a play dough set (obviously I gave it a thorough wash before putting it anywhere near food).  If you fancy getting creative with food and don't know where to start, have a look through your children's toy box, craft supplies and of course your own kitchen - you most likely have all sorts of things you could use, from cookie cutters, playdough cutters and accessories, fun shaped containers, toys and cake decorating supplies - a bit of imagination and repurposing goes a long way!

In this lunch Small Child had a tiger bread roll, split and filled with roast chicken and cucumber, then decorated with plastic eyes from a play dough set, and a cucumber slice tongue.  On the side he had a cheese string, a mini yellow pepper cut into rings, blueberries, and a heart shaped container full of organic natural yoghurt with some pink heart sprinkles on top.  I also added some mini animal picks to the blueberries to decorate.

Eats Amazing - Funny Face Bread Roll LunchThis lunch was all eaten up - Small Child especially loved the roll, he thought it was really funny!

Now it’s your turn, what fun food have you been making recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. Do feel free to link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own. Anything goes, as long as it’s edible!

Yum, that tiger bread roll looks really tempting! Have linked up an old post I did about making food fun. It's a bit of ramble about lots of ideas, hope that's ok. x
