Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who linked up to yesterday's penguin linky - some brilliant posts were added, making it an awesome penguiny collection! This year's book themed linkies will remain open and accepting new links for a few months, so if you've been inspired by any of the book themes, do feel free to come back and add your links to the relevant collection! You can easily find all of my World Book Day posts and linky parties in one place by clicking on the 'Eats Amazing Celebrates World Book Day' button on the right hand side of this page, or by clicking here.
Continuing with this week's World Book Day lunches, today’s lunch is based on the book Dinosaurs Love Underpants by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort. Small Child loves the 'Underpants' series of books, we have several of them, including Pirates Love Underpants, and Aliens Love Underpants! As I did yesterday, I am hosting a linky party at the end of this post, so check out the links for more book related fun, and of course please add links to any blog posts you may have on today’s theme. This could be a food, craft or educational post, as long as it is related to the theme in some way.
In this lunch Small Child had a cheese sandwich on seeded granary bread, cut into the shape of a pair of underpants and decorated with red edible marker pen. I put some rolled ham into a dinosaur silicone cup, and Small Child commented that it looked like the dinosaur had eaten a pair of underpants, so I popped in a few leaf picks to make it look more like the contents of the dinosaurs stomach - the stegosaurus was a herbivore after all! On the side he had some red pepper strips, raw carrot disks (under the pepper) and a Satsuma, which I broke into segments and arranged in another dinosaur silicone cup. I decorated the vegetables with a couple of plastic dinosaur cupcake picks, and used alphabet picks to spell out the word 'PANTS', much to Small Child's amusement!
This lunch was simple and quick to put together, I hope the underpants sandwich doesn't cause too many raised eyebrows at school!

Now it’s your turn! Have you got any dinosaur (or underpants!) themed blog posts in your archive? Food, crafts, educational posts etc. all welcome! Feel free to link up more than one post if you have them, and if you like you can help yourself to the button above and place it in your post. If you have time, please also try to visit other posts in this linky and leave your comments; all bloggers love comments! The only rule I ask you to stick to is that your link is relevant to the theme of the day. You are also welcome to link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don't have a blog of your own.
