Today is Children in Need Day here in the UK, an annual fundraising event which raises money to help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Small Child's school is joining in the fun, with a dress-up day, cake stalls and other fundraising activities. This year the theme is 'Be a Hero' so Small Child went off to school as 'Super Spider Pudsey', also known as a spiderman suit with added cloak and Pudsey Bear ears! Of course he needed a lunch to match, so at his request I made a Pudsey Bear/Spiderman lunch! I also made some spotty cakes to send into school, which sadly I forgot to take a photo of!
Today is Fun Food Friday too, so as usual, you’ll find a linky at the bottom of today’s post. If you’ve written any foodie posts, whether it be toddler meals, creative cakes, lovely lunches or a yummy recipe you’ve blogged, do feel free to join in and add your link! Over the course of the week, I try to comment on and tweet every post that’s linked up and I pin them all to my special Fun Food Friday Pinterest board too.
In today's special lunch for Children in Need Small Child had a seed and oatmeal pitta bread, which I cut into bear shapes with the CuteZCute Animal Friends Cutter. I stamped a face on them using the bear face from the CuteZCute Cuddle Palz Set and added Pudsey's spotty bandage using a piece of tortilla wrap and some edible marker pens to draw on the spots. On the side he had a small spotty sauce container full of organic houmous to spread on the pittas, a whole baby cucumber and a baby banana (I discovered these recently, how cute are they?!). He also had rolls of ham and some red and green grapes, both decorated with Spiderman cupcake rings, and some raisins, topped with a bear fork pick. This lunch was packed in our Yumbox Panino.
Now it’s your turn to share! Have you been making any fun food recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. You can also link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own.
A few quick reminders before you link up; please visit some of the other blogs that have linked up and leave them a comment – we all love comments! If you are linking up from your blog, please grab the button below too, and put it either in your blog post or somewhere on your blog. Wow! Isn't this just the cutest link up I've ever seen? I LOVE fun kid food ideas, and I have a board on Pinterest for just that. I will have to pin all of these. You guys are all so creative! I've yet to make any fun kid food for my son, but I have a feeling it might be really exciting for him, even as a young toddler! Thanks for stopping by my blog today, Grace! It was great to have such a thoughtful comment.
