After the success of his first themed lunch for Small Child, Mr Amazing raided my bento supply boxes and threw himself into lunch making for the rest of the week. I was very grateful for his help, and should add that his lunch packing was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to him being wonderfully domestic! For the next lunch he made, he went with a car theme.
In this lunch Small Child had a car sandwich, filled with roast chicken and decorated with carrot letters, plus wheels made from a clementine and a Babybel cheese. On the side he had some traffic lights, made from raw red and green pepper and raw carrot, cut into disks and threaded onto mini plastic skewers. He also had some strawberries decorated with a bus cupcake pick, and a gingerbread 'mechanic'.
Mr Amazing would like to point out that the gingerbread man was definitely intended to be a mechanic fixing the car, not an unfortunate person being run over, as some of his friends suggested when they saw this photo!
